Many recognize Leslie E. Redmond as the ultimate millennial.
Leslie E. Redmond is a nationally recognized strategist, attorney, speaker, and community architect known for building bridges between grassroots movements, institutions, and decision-makers during moments of crisis, change, and transformation.
With more than a decade of experience leading at the intersection of justice, policy, healing, and systems change, Leslie has become a trusted voice in moments when leadership matters most. She is best known for her ability to translate complex social issues into actionable strategies that move people, organizations, and communities forward.
A first-generation college graduate, Leslie holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration. She became the youngest President in the history of the Minneapolis NAACP, leading during one of the most consequential periods in modern civil rights history. Her leadership during times of racial unrest, political pressure, and national attention solidified her reputation as a calm, principled, and effective leader under fire.
Beyond titles, Leslie’s work is rooted in activation. She is the founder of the Don’t Complain, Activate framework, a leadership philosophy grounded in three core principles: Communication, Collaboration, and Compassion. This framework has been applied across sectors, from nonprofit and government to education, faith communities, and corporate spaces, helping leaders move from reaction to strategy, from burnout to sustainability.
Through her nonprofit work, public speaking, media commentary, and facilitation of healing spaces, Leslie has supported thousands of people navigating grief, trauma, civic engagement, and leadership development. She is known for creating spaces that are both honest and solution-oriented, where truth can be told and next steps can be built.
Leslie’s expertise has been sought by media outlets, foundations, schools, corporations, and grassroots organizations alike. Whether she is advising senior leaders, speaking to packed auditoriums, facilitating closed-door strategy sessions, or convening community healing circles, her work consistently centers dignity, accountability, and long-term impact.
At this stage of her career, Leslie is focused on scaling ideas, building sustainable institutions, and partnering with organizations and leaders who are serious about meaningful change. Her work continues to evolve, but her mission remains the same: to activate people and systems to lead with courage, clarity, and compassion.
Leslie is available for speaking engagements, strategic consulting, facilitation, media commentary, and partnership opportunities.
As seen on–
Leslie’s passion is people. She wants to share her experiences and lessons with others. She stood on the front lines after the unjust killings of Jamar Clark, Philando Castile, and Justine Damond.
